چکیده
Neuropsychiatric symptoms are frequent in obese individuals. Mounting evidence suggests that adiposity-related inflammation contributes to this effect. This study assessed the relationship between adiposity, neuropsychiatric symptom dimensions and systemic subjects stratified by body-mass-index (BMI). The included 165 subjects, of whom 70 were very severely (BMI ≥ 40 kg/m2), 50 (BMI: 35–39.99 21 overweight or moderately 25–34.9 24 lean < 25 kg/m2). Depressive using Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) Mini-International Interview (MINI). Fatigue general neurobehavioral Multidimensional Inventory (MFI) Neurotoxicity (NRS) respectively. Serum levels inflammatory markers, high-sensitive (hs) CRP hsIL-6, determined ELISA. Severely exhibited higher MADRS, MFI NRS scores more frequently afflicted with current diagnosis major depression than participants. Scores on psychometric scales also increased although a lesser extent. Alterations highly inter-related. HsCRP was significantly severe obesity, while hsIL-6 augmented all groups. Overall, comorbidity associated greater inflammation, notably hsCRP. Obesity is characterized an prevalence inter-related together low-grade augmenting adiposity. association alterations supports contribution processes comorbidities obesity. These data suggest consideration adiposity characteristics may help identifying at risk for comorbidity.
